Understanding the Technologies

There are several different technologies available to us, each one suited for a particular input material mix (see "The Feedstocks").

In general terms, from the standpoint of say a farm digester project, we can use “plug flow” for scraped dairy manure, “complete mix” for swine manure, and for poultry, (depending on the bird ie: if it’s a broiler, breeder or layer), we can either mix the manure with dairy or swine manure, or use non-AD technologies such as composting, gasification or pyrolysis technologies for producing Combined Heat and Power (aka CHP).

There could also be an opportunity of mixing manures with off-farm feedstocks too.

Systems are not smelly, ugly, noisy or polluting. Just go to our Google link below, and type in “Anaerobic Digestion”. Some of your other questions may be answered by what you find. If you don’t have time to do that, then just ask us. We have thousands of links and masses of information to share with you.

For non-farm projects, we can look at digestion, pyrolysis or gasification technologies, the final choice dependant upon the input feedstock(s).
